Part time Finance Assistant

I am currently recruiting for my client based in St Asaph. There are exiting times ahead after their recent acquisition of a new business, meaning that there is a much higher volume of work now and as such this role will start off as a Fixed term contract until the end of 2019. At this time there will be a review and if the work load is sustained, a permanent offer of employment may be made.


This a part time role of c21 hours initially, ideally three 7 hour days (1 hour for lunch). This company have a real warm feel to them and is a really nice environment for someone to work with a friendly team who are all happy to “muck” in when needed. Experience in credit control and purchase ledger work is essential and ideally Sage 50 experience too.



  • Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements
  • Send Sales Ledger statements to customers (alternating weekly between MCS Test Equipment Limited and MCS Rentals Limited) and deal with any queries resulting from the statements e.g. issuing copy invoices, updating contact details
  • Sending the initial overdue debt letter to customers on a weekly basis for both companies and resolving queries, escalating queries where necessary
  • Completing supplier forms as they are received
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices for MCS Test Equipment Ltd
  • Completing ECL Sales return for both MCS Test Equipment & MCS Rentals
  • Any other duties that may be assigned
  • Experience of Sage 50 accounts essential, TAS Books accounts package desirable


Holidays 25 + Bank holidays (pro rata)

Hours – ideally 3 days of 7 hours with 1 one hour for lunch, however may be flexible for right candidates

Salary - £19,000 - £21,000 (FTE)
