I am currently recruiting for my client based just outside Chester. This role is easily commutable from Chester, Winsford, Northwich etc. There is the need for someone to join the team on an initial temporary basis, this role for the right candidate will go permanent within 3 months or so.


The role requires a competent bookkeeper / accounts assistant who is comfortable with all transactional work and has a good knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and month end work. Ideally AAT qualified or working towards. Xero experience is essential as this position requires someone who can “hit the ground running”


This role will be paying up to c£25,000 DOE, broken down into an hourly rate and paid weekly.


Day to Day Duties will include:

  • Raising Sale Invoices
  • Processing New Sales Orders
  • Allocation of Receipts
  • Assist with month end work / management accounts
  • Issue Monthly Customer Statements
  • Purchase Ledger duties
  • Coding & Posting of Purchase Ledger Invoices to the system
  • Prepare & Submit Supplier Payments
  • Allocation of Supplier Payments
  • Dealing with Sales & Purchase Ledger Queries
  • Set Up & Update of Customer/Supplier Accounts
  • Matching & Coding of Multiple Company Credit Cards
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit Control
  • Other Ad hoc works

As mentioned experience with the financial system Xero will be very beneficial, however a very strong bookkeeping candidate with a range of systems experience will also be considered.
