Today Heyland Recruitment celebrates its 10th year anniversary, although clearly it is not under the circumstances I would have like to have acknowledged it.

 

There are a number of people & organisations who have helped us along the way – Steve Marsh and the team Aaron & Partners our legal advisers who have been a constant support to us, Chris Bond and the team SBCA and the invaluable accounting advice you have given us over the years, and special thanks for your tireless work over the past two weeks providing us with updates on the governments initiatives to help us all through recent events. Libby Entwhistle & Jane Entwistle and her amazing team Entyce Creative who have done so many great things with our marketing and are still supporting us with the imminent launch of our new website.  Mel Cross at Ginger Pixie who has taken some wonderful shots of our team over the years, Steve Harris and the team at Polymorph who provide a 1st class IT support service and Jaimie Creek at Pro-digital who really is a master of the dark arts of SEO!   And a huge thank you to all the numerous Candidates and Clients we have had the pleasure of working with over the years, too many to name personally but you know who you are.

 

Finally to the team…  I am so lucky to have such a professional, engaging and fun team to work with.  The relationships you have nurtured over the years have been exceptional, the feedback I receive from our Clients & Candidates on what a 1st class service you provide makes me very proud.  We will bounce back from these difficult times stronger & wiser and we will cherish the inane conversations across the office that we took for granted until a couple of weeks ago. I know a few of you have already looked to volunteer for the NHS over the coming months while the recruitment market is a bit quiet, which is testament to the selfless way you conduct yourselves.

 

The celebration is on hold for now, but you all know when we get the chance to, we definitely will. Trying to squeeze 10 years into 9 photos isn’t easy… but here are a few of our best memories!

Flora joined us in 2016 after having spent 12 successful years at Hays recruiting across the North West. She has since become a key member of the team, working hard to fill permanent qualified positions across Chester and the North West.

Dan joined us in 2016 after having spent 5 successful years at Hays recruiting across North Wales, Cheshire and The Wirral. He has since become a pivotal member of the team, working hard to fill permanent finance positions across Chester and the North West.

 

As well as working incredibly hard from our Chester office, Dan is the proud father of (as of November 1st) two beautiful children, Lewis and Jessica and an equally proud Liverpool Football Club supporter.

Last Wednesday our Director, Andy Heyland and HR Business Manager, Helen Berry, attended a very enlightening event on Wellbeing at Work. This was co-hosted by the amazing teams at Moneypenny Ltd and Natwest and delivered by My HR Crew.

 

The event brought together experience from lots of award-winning business leaders which resulted in both Andy and Helen taking away plenty of helpful information. One of the biggest take-aways was the astonishing cost to the UK that is caused by employee illness. A good working environment can significantly reduce these sickness days, resulting in a smaller cost to the UK and overall better workplaces.

We’re delighted to introduce our newest member of the Heyland Recruitment team. As one of the fastest growing accountancy, finance and HR recruitment specialists in the North West we recently decided to expand our in-house team with a new role in our Warrington office.

 

Jennifer Wallis joins us as Senior Consultant.
